2nd ROUND
Our 2nd ROUND project aims to enable brands to develop capsule collections with parts with plus than 50% recycled raw material, GRS certified from its own mechanical waste in their pre and post-consumption process.
PROCESS DETAILS:
Add the inevitable productive waste as cutting scraps to the end-of-life pieces returned by the customer.
These wastes are transported to a recycling plant where they are de-fibered by a mechanical process.
To the resulting fiber is added a new/virgin fiber to ease the wiring process.
With the new recycled thread, the sustainable mesh is knitted.
New rectified parts (GRS) are made.
Remark: At all stages of the process there is a variable percentage of losses, which can be around 15%, depending on the performance of the material.
